What Separates LEDs from Traditional Bulbs?

  • Light Source - LEDs are the size of a fleck of pepper, and can emit light in a range of colours,
  • Direction - LEDs emit light in a specific direction, which can reduce the need for reflectors and diffusers which can trap light. This  makes LEDs more suitable in multiple applications such as potlights and various task lighting, 
  • Heat - Incandescent bulbs release 90% of their energy as heat. LEDs emit very little heat converting most of the energy to light,
  • Lifespan - LED fixtures typically last much longer than other types of lighting.
